Mike Sears is a native of the great city of Detroit, located in the beautiful state of Michigan. He was born and raised on the east side, where he was exposed to the misfortunes and negative effects of drugs, violence, and poverty. However, in an area of the city that was considered by many to be desolate and deserted, Sears was surrounded by love, hope, opportunities, and a path forward. While it was difficult for many to see a way out of the negative cycles encountered in the area, Sears broke free. 

Through various sports programs, including football, Sears found a way of escape. Music and business were also critical outlets that kept him alive and thriving in the hood. His passion for music and an intrinsic desire for business, birthed in him at an early age, afforded him the opportunity to study music and business at Ferris State University. It was there that he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Industry Management. He would later go on to receive a Master’s degree from Full Sail University in Entertainment Business. Sears is now working to provide a way out for others. He is now an acclaimed author and sought-after speaker. He also works as a consultant in education, entrepreneurship and in various areas of sports and entertainment. These were the portals that allowed Sears to go after and realize his dreams. Now, he is leveraging some of the same things that aided him in the pursuit of helping others.
